The 2003 Barbaresco Bric Balin is a powerhouse. Medium ruby in color, it is packed with sensations of tar, smoke, sweet toasted oak, licorice and dark ripe fruit on a big, full-bodied frame. Today it seems to be the wine most adversely affected by the hot growing conditions as the wine’s hard tannins clip the finish and dominate its overall balance.
