Nurtured in the ancient Saint-Nicaise Abbey cellars in Reims, the Taittinger cuvée "Comtes de Champagne" inspires devotion and allegiance from wine lovers all over the world. Chardonnay grapes from the finest vineyards in the Côte des Blancs are used to make this champagne, which is only produced in top quality vintages. 1998 was such a great year: delicate spicy lemon aromas hinted with light tobacco and fresh tea leaves explode in a fine bouquet. On the palate the champagne is stingingly fresh and elegant with a slight acidity dominated by fresh citrus fruits. An exceptional cuvée, delicate and complex.
