Tenuta Sette Ponti Oreno Toscana IGT
Description: There's no doubt that Antonio's was accurate. The lowest score ever given to the Oreno was 90-points. That's right, the Oreno has never received anything below 90-points from any of the major critics. You want consistency? Wine Spectator has scored the Oreno 95 points or better for seven consecutive vintages from 2001 to 2008 (they did not produce a 2002) and it placed in their Top 100 on four occasions since the 2001 vintage. That's about as 'blue chip' as a wine can get. The 2010 is the newest edition to hit the market and all seems primed for another championship season for this Bordeaux-blend from Tuscany. The 2010 vintage is highly-regarded and the only review we have seen thus far on the Oreno is 96-points from James Suckling, the former European bureau chief for Wine Spectator. Suckling called it "One of best Orenos ever made since its inception in 1999."
