It's hard to believe 15 years has passed since the Rosemount Diamond Shiraz took this market by storm. In the early 1990's the Wine Spectator was still an underground publication devoted exclusively to wine and little of the glitz and slick advertisements that adorn its pages today. The wine magazine in its buying guide (in those days they actually had a pull-out section!) touted the Rosemount Shiraz as a new and jammy-style red with complexities that were still new to the American palate. Inventories keep changing as many of these down-under favorites go quickly. From d'arenberg to Elderton and Penfolds to Rosemount, we think you'll agree Ingersoll W&S has one of the finest selections on the net -- and should you not see what you're looking for.. help is just a click away!! This extraordinarily elegant, fruity, full-bodied red offers notes of sweet cherries, licorice, and strawberry jam. 05 Charles Cimicky Reserve Shiraz Barossa Valley
"Remarkably, the 2005 Shiraz Reserve is even better than the Autograph. It spent 14 months in new oak, 60% French and 40% American. It, too, coats the glass with a thick purple film. Purple/black, it gives up a splendid perfume of cedar, Asian spices, pepper, violets, bacon, blueberry, and blackberry. On the palate the wine is dense and plush, admirably combining elegance and power. There are gobs of sweet blue and black fruits, ripe tannins, and a pure, 60-second finish. Give it 3-4 years to blossom and drink it through 2025." 95 points. -- Wine Advocate

This chardonnay received minimal handling so that the purity of fruit shines through.

02 d'Arenberg "The Dead Arm" Shiraz, McLaren Vale
"After re-tasting the 2002 The Dead Arm Shiraz, I believe my initial rating is correct. It still plays it close to the vest, exhibiting loads of cassis, asphalt, smoke, and barbecue spice-like aromas along with full-bodied flavors. While well-made and impressive, it remains backward and restrained, and does not appear to be up to the quality of either the 2003 or the great 2001." 93 points. -- Wine Advocate

04 Greenock Creek Alice's Shiraz, Barossa Valley
"The 2004 Shiraz “Alice’s Block” received the same 28 months in used American oak. The riveting nose of smoke, asphalt, earth, truffle, blackberry, and blueberry roars from the glass. Dense, packed, and opulent, it somehow is able to concurrently exhibit finesse and elegance. Amazingly pure and long in the finish, one’s first reaction is that it cannot get any better. Dense cherry red, almost purple, with red edge. There is nothing demure about this wine. Its very attractive, rich, perfumed and coated in cherry liqueur. Very much Henry’s Drive. 04 Rusden
"Rusden’s flagship is the 2004 Shiraz “Black Guts,” sourced from a vineyard planted in 1959. It was aged for 30 months in barrel, 10% new American, 25% new French, with the balance used French. Purple-colored (but not as saturated as many of its Barossa peers), it delivers a stunning perfume of mineral, gunpowder, roasted meat, blueberry, and chocolate. This is followed by a full-bodied, velvety-textured Shiraz with gobs of layered fruit, terrific intensity and balance, and a very long finish. It will develop for 6-8 years and drink well through 2025." 97 points. -- Wine Advocate
