This is from a selection of vineyards and especially of barrels, all with fruit from the Tapiz Vineyard in San Pablo, about 1,350 meters above sea level in the Uco Valley. After 14 months of barrel aging, this blend of 36% malbec, 25% cabernet sauvignon, and 24% merlot plus cabernet franc and syrah has a lot of fruity force with violet tones and tart red fruits that lend freshness. It has firm tannins, the acidity of a mountain wine, and toasted flavors from the barrel. |
